  7. To alter the contrast and brightness settings of the images in the active window, drag the two control sliders.

  9. To increase the brightness of the images, drag this slider down.  To decrease, drag it up.

  11. To increase the contrast of the images, drag this slider up.  To decrease, drag it down.
